1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use FindADate, we may collect account and profile information such as your name, email address, mobile number, date of birth, gender, dating preferences, occupation, education, lifestyle information, profile photos and other information you choose to provide.
We may also collect technical information such as device type, app version, IP address, diagnostic information, session information and security events. If you enable location features, we may process location information to support venue discovery, date planning or safety features.
2. How we use information
- Create, authenticate and secure accounts.
- Verify mobile phone numbers and deliver one-time security codes.
- Operate profiles, date plans, invitations, messaging and venue-related features.
- Detect abuse, fraud, spam and violations of our rules.
- Provide support and communicate about service or security issues.
- Develop, troubleshoot and improve FindADate.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect users, FindADate and others.
3. SMS and mobile-number data
When you request a verification code, FindADate uses your mobile number to send transactional account-security messages. Message frequency varies based on your account activity. Message and data rates may apply.
We do not sell mobile numbers, SMS opt-in records or SMS consent information. We do not share that information with unaffiliated third parties for their independent advertising or marketing.
4. Service providers
We use vendors that help operate the service, including cloud database/authentication, storage, communications, analytics, hosting and security providers. These providers may process information for us subject to their contracts and applicable law. Our current architecture uses Supabase for backend and authentication services and Twilio for SMS delivery.
5. Profile visibility and other users
Information you add to your dating profile is intended to be viewed by other eligible FindADate users according to the app’s features and settings. Do not place sensitive personal information in public profile fields.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, satisfy legal and security obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and why it is needed.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect their passwords, verification codes and devices.
8. Your choices and rights
You may be able to access, correct or delete certain profile information from within the app. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. Requests may be sent to privacy@gottafindadate.com.
9. Children
FindADate is an adult dating service and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly permit minors to create accounts.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product develops or laws change. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
